Yvonne & Abong
"Everyone needs someone to talk to, someone to relate to, someone to confide and open up your heart. We are all children desperately in need to lean on God."
Preparing a healthier future for tommorrow's generation!

A friend once said to me:
"Why are they judging me, when I am already living with my own judgment? Instead of criticizing me, let them walk with me, support me in my struggle with the disease and encourage me in my battle. I feel defeated and all I need is love to strengthen me".

ABOUT US
Background
A Place of Hope, Inc, was birthed by the pain two young women felt because of the devastation and destruction left in the wake of the HIV/AIDS virus. As they traveled throughout their native country Cameroon, they saw families torn apart because of an indiscriminate disease fueled by fear and misunderstanding. Nothing made their hearts ache more than seeing innocence lost. Children were infected with this vicious predator and dying through no fault of their own. Both of these women felt God's calling to help, and they responded. As the have said before, "God took my heart, and from it, He created Place of Hopes."
Abong and Yvonne are striving to bring their God-inspired vision to reality for children who have nowhere else to turn to. Their commitment and passion have enabled them to carry their mission forward, focusing on helping others create and maintain a global legacy of love for those who did not have it before. No doubt A Place of Hope is a grand vision. However, with faith, love and support of others who feel the burden they feel, they know even our hearts stop beating, the gifts that are given today will continue to provide A Place of Hope for others.

"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you" (Psalms 37:5)
